Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.46%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 6.82% or 1.01 points to trade at 15.83 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 4.35% or 0.44 points to end at 10.44 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 3.13% or 0.77 points to 25.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which fell 0.56% or 0.06 points to trade at 9.88 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 0.41% or 0.08 points to end at 19.63 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.07% or 0.05 points to 69.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 52 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $67.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $63.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.93% or 31.32 to trade at $3,412.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.91% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.87% at 97.66.
