Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.38%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.38%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which rose 1.42% or 5.90 points to trade at 422.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 0.93% or 3.40 points to end at 367.30 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 0.29% or 4.50 points to 1,574.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 16.35% or 35.00 points to trade at 179.10 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 3.52% or 4.90 points to end at 132.90 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 2.74% or 25.00 points to 887.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 44 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) fell to all time lows; falling 16.35% or 35.00 to 179.10.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.63% or 1.04 to $64.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.34% or 0.90 to hit $68.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.55 to trade at $3,419.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.31% to 6.39, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.05% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.89.
