Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 1.46% or 8.60 points to trade at 598.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Aedifica (EBR:AOO) added 0.23% or 0.15 points to end at 64.20 and Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 77.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC), which fell 1.53% or 1.60 points to trade at 103.10 at the close. Lotus Bakeries (EBR:LOTB) declined 1.35% or 110.00 points to end at 8,010.00 and Sofina (EBR:SOF) was down 1.13% or 3.00 points to 262.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 68 to 33 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.50% or 17.15 to $3,434.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.13% or 1.38 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.04% or 1.39 to trade at $66.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 98.04.
