Capstone Copper (OTCPK:CSCCF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CSCCF]) said late Thursday it resumed full sulphide copper production [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20237969-capstone-copper-resumes-full-operations-at-mantoverde] at its Mantoverde mine in Chile, following repairs to a ball mill motor that had interrupted production since late August.

Capstone (OTCPK:CSCCF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CSCCF]) reported on September 1 [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4490711-capstone-copper-reports-temporary-production-interruption-at-mantoverde-operation] that a second motor failure had curbed output at Mantoverde, reducing production by 3,000-4,000 tons of copper concentrate while repairs were completed; the mine was forced to operate by bypassing one of its two ball mills after the breakdown on August 30.

The company said at the time it would mitigate the impact by advancing planned maintenance, while also preparing a long-term replacement and repair strategy.

Five days of planned maintenance are still expected to be conducted at the end of September, the company said.
