Nova Minerals (NASDAQ:NVA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVA]) +56.2% in early trading Tuesday after saying the U.S. ambassador to Australia has asked the company to prepare a briefing [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20264065-nova-minerals-engaged-ahead-of-high-level-critical-minerals-talks-with-u-s-president-donald] on the miner's Estelle gold and critical minerals project in Alaska, in preparation for Australian Prime Minister Albanese's meeting with President Trump scheduled for October 20.
The Estelle project contains one of the world's largest undeveloped gold deposits, with more than 20 advanced gold and antimony prospects across a 35 km mineralized corridor, and the company recently secured [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20261866-nova-minerals-secures-land-use-for-antimony-refinery-at-port-mackenzie-as-it-targets-the] a land use permit for 42.8 acres of commercial industrial zoned land near to the critical Port MacKenzie infrastructure for a proposed antimony refinery as part of a commercial operation of a U.S. critical minerals hub.
Earlier this month [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20250365-u-s-department-of-war-awards-43_4m-to-alaska-range-resources-to-secure-antimony-supply], Nova Minerals (NASDAQ:NVA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVA]) said the U.S. Department of Defense made a $43.4 million investment in a wholly owned subsidiary of the company to fund the production of antimony trisulfide at the Estelle project via the initial phase of the company's strategy to establish a full spectrum state of the art antimony mining and refining hub.
Separately, rare earth mining stocks Trilogy Metals (NYSE:TMQ [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TMQ]), Critical Metals (NASDAQ:CRML [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CRML]) and Lithium Americas (LAC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/LAC]) +46.9%, +19.6%, and +7.7%, respectively, extending gains from Monday due to ongoing trade tensions between the U.S. and China; however, other recent high-fliers including MP Materials (MP [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MP]), Ramaco Resources (METC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/METC]) and TMC the metals company (TMC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TMC]) are pulling back from gains.
