Iren doubles NVIDIA GPU fleet

Iren (NASDAQ:IREN [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/IREN]) said [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20209885-iren-purchases-4_2k-nvidia-blackwell-gpus-and-secures-financing-ai-cloud-expanded-to-8_5k] on Monday that it has doubled its NVIDIA GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) fleet, and has secured financing for a prior purchase of NVIDIA Blackwell B200 and B300 GPUs.

The bitcoin mining data centers operator has procured an additional 4.2K NVIDIA Blackwell B200 GPUs for ~$193M, bringing its total GPU fleet to ~8.5K NVIDIA GPUs.

Total installed mining capacity is expected to remain at ~50 EH/s.

Additionally, the company announced a $102M financing, structured as a 36-month lease for 100% of the purchase price of the GPUs.

The lease payments are calculated using a high single-digit interest rate.

"Our expanded Blackwell capacity positions IREN to capture strong demand and drive the next phase of our AI Cloud revenue growth," said Co-CEO Daniel Roberts.

Shares were -1.17% pre-market to $21.18.
