On Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump will host several high-profile tech and business tycoons at an event in the White House’s renovated Rose Garden.

Invitees to the event include Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/META]) Mark Zuckerberg, Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AAPL]) CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MSFT]) founder Bill Gates, and OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman.

The meeting is anticipated to be held over dinner after a separate White House event.

First Lady Melania Trump will host a meeting of the White House Task Force on AI Education alongside members of the Task Force and private sector leaders, according to a press release from the White House.

Melania Trump said [https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/2025/09/first-lady-melania-trump-hosts-a-meeting-of-the-white-house-task-force-on-artificial-intelligence-education/] that "as leaders and parents we must manage AI’s growth responsibly. During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would our own children— empowering, but with watchful guidance."

Invitees to the event also include Alphabet's (NASDAQ:GOOG [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GOOG]) (NASDAQ:GOOGL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/GOOGL]) CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MSFT]) CEO Satya Nadella, and Oracle’s (NYSE:ORCL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ORCL]) CEO Safra Catz. Meanwhile, OpenAI's President Greg Brockman, Google's co-founder Sergey Brin, Palantir Technologies' (NASDAQ:PLTR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PLTR]) Chief Technology Officer Shyam Sankar, and Co-Founder of Scale AI and head of a superintelligence team at Meta, Alexandr Wang, are also on the invite list.

However, Tesla's (NASDAQ:TSLA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSLA]) CEO Elon Musk, who had a public falling out with Trump, was not on the invitation list.

David Sacks, who is the White House’s crypto and AI czar, is also expected to be at the event.
