Marriott International (MAR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MAR]) updated its financial outlook [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20299737-marriott-international-provides-financial-outlook-update-following-termination-of-agreement] for 2025 following the termination of its licensing agreement with Sonder (SOND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SOND]), which was ended due to Sonder's default.

As a direct result, Marriott's (MAR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MAR]) net rooms growth forecast for 2025 has been reduced and is now expected to approach 4.5%, earlier the figure was 5%.

The company said that there will be no changes to other metrics previously provided on November 4. [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4514514-marriott-outlines-1-percent-2-percent-q4-revpar-growth-and-anticipates-1_5-percent-2_5]

Sonder (SOND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SOND]) manages short-term rentals, such as apartment hotels, mainly in North America, Europe, and Dubai. Marriott (MAR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MAR]) removed Sonder (SOND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SOND]) rooms from its system, and its properties are no longer available for booking on Marriott (MAR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MAR]) channels or affiliated with the Bonvoy loyalty program.

Sonder (SOND [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SOND]) faces significant operational and valuation impacts, losing Marriott's (MAR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MAR]) booking channel support and broader affiliate benefits.
