Germany’s consumer price inflation stood at 2.4% in September 2025, in line with flash estimates and up from 2.2% in August, marking the fastest pace so far this year.

Inflation for goods accelerated slightly, though food prices moderated, despite notable increases in fruit, sugar and confectionery, and dairy products and eggs.

Energy prices continued to decline, though at a slower rate.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2%, following a 0.1% increase in August.
