Forward Air second-round bids due early next month - Axios Pro

Second-round bids for Forward Air (NASDAQ:FWRD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FWRD]) are set to be received early next month for the less-than-truckload carrier.

A takeover announcement could be announced as soon as next month if a bid is accepted, according to an Axios Pro report [https://www.axios.com/pro/supply-chain-deals/2025/08/15/forward-air-sale-second-round-bids-september]on Friday.

Second-round bids were expected to come at the end of this month, though Forward-Air delayed the deadline last week, according to the report. It's not clear if bidders want to purchase all of the company or just parts. Shares of Forward Air (NASDAQ:FWRD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FWRD]) fell 1.5% on Monday.

Forward Air declined to comment on deal timing to Axios.

Reuters reported last month that Clearlake Capital, Platinum Equity [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4470842-forward-air-gains-on-report-of-private-equity-bids] and EQT have made offers for Forward Air (FWRD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/FWRD]). Apollo Management (APO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/APO]) and AIP have also made bids for the company.
