* Pentair (NYSE:PNR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PNR]) has agreed to acquire valve solutions provider Hydra-Stop for around $290 million in cash from Madison Industries.
* When adjusted for ~$50 million of expected tax benefits, the net transaction value is ~$240 million. The acquisition is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions, including necessary regulatory approvals.
* Upon closing, Hydra-Stop will be operated within the commercial and infrastructure business unit of the Pentair Flow business segment.
* Hydra-Stop employs more than 50 team members and operates in Burr Ridge, Illinois. With approximately 99% of sales in the U.S., the business is expected to generate around $50 million in revenue in full year 2025 with an expected return on sales of ~30%.
