Pinnacle Financial, Synovus name leadership team for merged firm

Pinnacle Financial Partners (NASDAQ:PNFP [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PNFP]) and Synovus Financial (NYSE:SNV [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SNV]) have named the merged company's executive leaders, the banks said Thursday, about a month after the firms announced the $8.6B combination. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of next year, at which point Synovus (NYSE:SNV [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SNV]) CEO Kevin Blair will be joined by a team of executives, including Rob McCabe, chief banking officer, Jamie Gregory, chief financial officer, Zack Bishop, chief operating officer, Shellie Creson, chief risk officer, along with seven others.

Also upon closing, Pennacle (NASDAQ:PNFP [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/PNFP]) President and CEO Terry Turner will become non-executive chairman of Pinnacle's board, with McCabe serving as vice chairman. Turner and McCabe co-founded Pinnacle over two decades ago.

Both firms have established integration management office teams to coordinate decisions and align priorities upon closing of the transaction.
