Clear Channel Outdoor (NYSE:CCO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/CCO]) rose 7.9% in premarket trading on a report that an activist investor is pushing the outdoor advertising company to pursue a sale.

Anson Funds Management has made its views known to the board of Clear Channel Outdoor, according to a Bloomberg report [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-09-22/activist-anson-pushes-clear-channel-outdoor-to-pursue-sale?embedded-checkout=true] on Monday, which cited people familiar with the matter.

Anson declined to comment to Bloomberg. Clear Channel didn't immediately respond to request for comment.

Anson, along with activist investor Legion Partners, are both top 10 shareholders in Clear Channel Outdoor. In May 2023, Legion also pushed for the company to explore a sale. [https://seekingalpha.com/news/3972351-clear-channel-outdoor-gains-amid-activist-push-for-sale-of-entire-company]
