Grant Thornton has appointed Cameron Bacon as new national head of corporate finance.
Bacon, who has a 25-year tenure in corporate finance, possesses expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic growth planning.
Previously a partner in financial advisory, Bacon has background in advising clients across various sectors, particularly in food and beverage, and agribusiness.
His leadership in Grant Thornton’s Agribusiness, Food & Beverage industry group has been generating insights that enhance the firm's position in the market and support clients in capitalising on opportunities that are sector-specific.
Bacon will maintain his position as National head of Agribusiness, Food & Beverage.
Bacon said: “My focus remains on delivering strategic, high-impact advice to our clients, and I look forward to continuing to support them through complex transactions and transformative opportunities.”
He takes over from Holly Stiles, who now leads the Sydney Financial Advisory team, which encompasses corporate finance, restructuring, and forensics.
Stiles stated: “Cameron’s appointment as national head of corporate finance is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and strategic leadership.
“His deep understanding of client needs and industry specific knowledge provides him with a unique ability to navigate complex transactions, making him an invaluable asset to our firm. I’m confident Cameron will continue to elevate our Corporate Finance practice nationally, and I look forward to the impact his leadership will bring.”
Earlier in September 2025, Grant Thornton Advisors disclosed plans to invest $1bn over the next three years to integrate advanced AI tools and technologies into its international professional-services network.
