Rocket Lab to acquire Mynaric AG for $150M

* Rocket Lab Corp (NASDAQ:RKLB [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/RKLB]) has entered into an agreement with Mynaric to purchase all of the issued and outstanding shares of the German laser communication developer for $75M.
* The acquisition agreement also provides $75M in potential additional post-closing earnout payments to the sellers in cash or shares of Rocket Lab (NASDAQ:RKLB [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/RKLB]) based on revenue targets of the Mynaric business for 2025, 2026, and 2027.
* Mynaric designs and manufactures scalable laser communication terminals for air, space, and mobile applications to enable high-speed and long-distance data transmission using laser beams instead of radio frequencies.
* The transaction is subject to approval from German authorities.
