Hillenbrand (NYSE:HI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/HI]) +20.7% post-market Tuesday following a Bloomberg report that Lone Star Funds is in advanced talks to acquire [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-14/lone-star-nears-deal-to-buy-plastic-parts-maker-hillenbrand] the plastic parts and equipment maker, in a deal that could be announced as soon as this week.
Hillenbrand (NYSE:HI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/HI]), which reportedly has been exploring a sale since August [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4484764-hillenbrand-jumps-on-report-its-exploring-possible-sale], closed at $26.49 Tuesday in New York, giving the company a market value of ~$1.87 billion.
Apollo Global Management (APO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/APO]) and Stellex Capital Management also were said to be among the final suitors for Hillenbrand (HI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/HI]).
The company produces plastic parts and equipment for companies in the automotive, packaging, construction and electronics industries, and its customers include Dow Inc. and General Mills.
