UPS has concluded the previously announced acquisition of Canada-based supply chain company Andlauer Healthcare Group (AHG) for nearly C$2.2bn ($1.6bn).
Under the deal, shareholders of AHG received C$55 per share in cash.
In April 2025, UPS signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of AHG.
The acquisition enhances UPS' position in complex healthcare logistics by incorporating AHG's specialised cold chain transportation solutions and third-party logistics expertise.
The integration of AHG's cold chain network will allow UPS Healthcare customers to benefit from enhanced quality assurance, shorter transit times, improved end-to-end visibility, and expanded global coverage.
UPS EVP and international healthcare and supply chain solutions president Kate Gutmann said: “At UPS Healthcare, we are relentlessly focused on quality, improving patient outcomes and advancing healthcare delivery, and we are thrilled that Andlauer Healthcare Group, and its talented employees, share that focus.
“We will provide industry-leading services to our global customers, built on a foundation of quality, precision, and speed all designed to help manage high-value, temperature-sensitive treatments.”
The deal closed after receiving approval from AHG shareholders and completing customary regulatory assessments.
AHG founder and CEO Michael Andlauer will oversee UPS Canada Healthcare and AHG, aiming to expand specialised services and better serve healthcare clients.
UPS reported a revenue of $91.1bn for 2024 and provides integrated logistics services in more than 200 countries and territories, employing approximately 490,000 staff.
UPS Healthcare services encompass laboratory and clinical trial logistics, cold chain packaging and shipping, inventory management, as well as the storage and fulfilment of medical devices.
