The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage fell to 6.29% Friday, the lowest level in 11 months and down 0.16 percentage point from Thursday, according to Mortgage News Daily. Workers’ confidence in finding a new job if they lose their current one hit a record low, according to a survey by the New York Federal Reserve. The poll also found Americans' inflation expectations were broadly stable.
