Stocks are readying to open higher after this morning's inflation report confirmed that price growth remains contained, giving the Federal Reserve more room to cut interest rates. A lower than expected inflation number gives the Fed more reasons to cut interest rates next week---and perhaps by a larger degree. More than 10% of traders are betting on a 50 basis point cut at the next Fed meeting this morning versus 7% on Tuesday, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.
