Brooke Wagner, who had been at The Container Store for about two years, left the company at the end of last month. She was chief merchandising officer on an interim or permanent basis for nearly a year and a half, according to Wagner’s LinkedIn page.

Chief Commercial Officer Martin Schumacher is taking over Wagner’s responsibilities, according to a memo to vendors from Schumacher that was viewed by Retail Dive and confirmed by the company.

The retailer exited bankruptcy in January, and Schumacher served as the retailer’s chief transformation officer.

CEO Satish Malhotra resigned in March, and Schumacher now heads up a chief executive team, alongside board Executive Chairman Joel Bines. Independent board member Mike Nicholson, who is J. Crew Group’s president and chief operating officer, advises this office of the CEO.
