New research from Rightmove (RMV.L) reveals that over a third of Brits admit to having had an argument with their neighbours, and that the top grievances are noise, parking spaces and curtain twitching.

When it comes to moving home, 60% of prospective buyers prioritise good neighbours and take steps such as scanning local community groups and driving by at different times of the day to check for issues and dodge any problems.

Of course, a very effective way of avoiding disputes is to find a home far enough away from other properties that you won’t be bothered by music, parking or other annoyances — like this selection, which are all for sale.
