Investing.com -- U.S. President Donald Trump left Washington on Friday aboard Air Force One for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, where the two are expected to discuss a potential ceasefire deal for Ukraine.

The White House said Trump is traveling with a delegation that includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, along with additional senior aides.

Shortly before leaving the White House, Trump posted on his social media platform: "HIGH STAKES!!!"
