E-commerce retail sales rose 1.4% Q/Q to $304.2B in Q2, accelerating from the prior quarter's 0.1% decrease, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau released on Tuesday.
On a Y/Y basis, though, e-commerce retail sales advanced 5.3% in Q2, decelerating from +6.0% in Q1.
Total retail sales for Q2 were estimated at $1,865.4B, up 0.4% from the earlier quarter.
E-commerce sales in Q2 accounted for 16.3% of total sales, the Census Bureau said [https://www.census.gov/retail/mrts/www/data/pdf/ec_current.pdf].
