Shares of furniture retailers declined Monday after President Trump warned late last week of new tariffs on the industry's imports. Wayfair stock led the decline and was down 6.6% in morning trading Monday. The stocks had fallen in postmarket trading Friday after Trump said the U.S. would initiate a tariff investigation on furniture coming into the U.S. The president said the investigation will be completed within the next 50 days, and when completed furniture imports will be tariffed at a yet-to-be-determined rate.
