The Texas Manufacturing Index remained near zero, at -1.8 in August, compared with 0.9 in July, the Dallas Fed said on Monday.
Factory activity in Texas continued to expand, with new orders improving for the first time since July, and the shipments index reaching its highest level in more than three years.
Production index: 15.3 vs. 21.3 prior.
Shipments: 14.2 vs. 2.7.
Capacity utilization: 13.7 vs. 17.3
New orders: 5.8 vs. -3.6.
Outlook index: 3.3 vs. 4.7
