"We have the greatest economy right now," President Donald Trump said on Wednesday at the America Business Forum in Miami, Florida. "This is the golden age of America," he added.
GDP growth was almost 4% in Q3 2025, he said, saying it's triple or quadruple that "of almost any other country in the world." He expects Q3 GDP growth of 4.2% or better. U.S. Q3 GDP rose 3.8% [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4498811-us-q2-gdp-revised-higher-to-38-in-third-estimate-intensifying-rebound], on an annual rate, reversing from a 0.5% decline in Q1.
He took credit for "trillions and trillions of dollars being poured" into the U.S., saying he secured commitments for $18T and expects $21T in the first year of his second administration.
Almost 2M more American-born workers have been employed since his term began, Trump said. However, ADP's October jobs report [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4515648-private-sector-employment-stages-rebound-in-october-adp-jobs-report] indicated that the number of jobs created has slowed since the first half of the year.
Wages for workers are rising at the fastest pace in 60 years, he claimed.
"Prices are coming down very fast," Trump said. However, the data hasn't yet reflected that. The last CPI issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that headline inflation and core CPI rose [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4508175-consumer-price-index-shows-slightly-cooler-than-expected-inflation-in-september]3.0% Y/Y.
He called on the Democrats to re-open the government, saying the Republicans have voted 14 times to re-open the federal government.
Trump also took the opportunity to lambaste past Democratic presidents. The Inflation Reduction Act was "one of the greatest scams," he said, claiming, without evidence, that it increased inflation.
He also repeated his displeasure for Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, calling him a "nincompoop."
Trump said he aims for the U.S. to have "the best tax rate, the lowest energy costs, the lowest regulatory burden."
UPDATED AT 2:19 PM ET: For every new regulation created, his administration eliminated 30, he said. "We have to talk about it, because if we don't, nobody else will," Trump added.
On energy, "my policy is very simple — drill, baby, drill."
Some 100K bureaucrats have left the government payroll, he said, adding that government spending has declined 2.5% from the same quarter a year ago.
Crypto is "not under siege anymore," he said. "It takes the pressure off the dollar."
"We're making the U.S. crypto capital of the world," he said of the digital concept that's designed to be decentralized.
