Automotive and mobility service software provider SOFICO has appointed Yves Bonnefont as a new member of its board of directors.
Bonnefont previously served as chief software officer at Stellantis and CEO of DS Automobiles with experience in digital mobility services and electrification within the automotive sector.
SOFICO noted that Bonnefont is expected to contribute an understanding of developments in automotive finance and leasing.
Bonnefont said: “I am honoured to join SOFICO’s board of directors. Having worked on the OEM side, I know first-hand the complexity and pace of change in today’s automotive and mobility landscape.
“Finance and leasing companies need partners who not only provide technology but also understand their transformation journey. SOFICO has proven it can do both, and I look forward to supporting its mission to help customers navigate this new era.”
The current SOFICO board includes representatives from private equity companies Astorg and Apheon, along with members of the company’s own management team, Piet Maes and Gémar Hompes.
Astorg became SOFICO’s majority shareholder last year, joining forces with the company’s founders.
The company is expanding organically and through targeted acquisitions while increasing investment in personnel and extending its global presence.
SOFICO CEO Wim De Bruyne said: “We are delighted to welcome Yves. His expertise bridges the worlds of automotive manufacturing and mobility services with our customers’ reality in finance and leasing.
“Having this voice at our board strengthens our ability to translate market changes into practical, innovative software solutions. This appointment is another step in ensuring SOFICO remains the long-term partner our customers can rely on as their industry evolves.”
