A release from Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B, BRK-A) titled "It’s Not Me" states, "Mr. Buffett is concerned that these types of fraudulent videos are becoming a spreading virus. Individuals who are less familiar with Mr. Buffett may believe these videos are real and be misled by the contents of these videos." The statement goes on to add that on Monday, Nov. 10, the company will issue a press release on Buffett's "philanthropy, Berkshire and other matters that Berkshire shareholders and others may find to be of interest."

And Buffett has been outspoken about this issue in the past, remember, especially when it came to political endorsements in recent presidential elections. It is worth noting the account behind the earlier video does have a disclaimer saying the voices on the channel are AI-generated and that there is no attempt to imitate or impersonate any individual. Also included in the statement, Berkshire will be publishing another press release on Monday, November 10th, with a message from Buffett about philanthropy, Berkshire, and other matters that shareholders might find of interest. And it could be his final message at the helm of the conglomerate. Remember, Buffett is stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway at the end of the year and will be replaced by long-time lieutenant, Greg Abel.
