Eletrobras to partner with C3 AI to modernize Brazil's power grid

Eletrobras (NYSE:EBR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/EBR]) said Monday it selected C3 AI (AI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AI]) to apply artificial intelligence [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20203718-eletrobras-selects-c3-ai-to-scale-enterprise-ai-across-latin-america-s-largest-power-utility] to be deployed across Brazil's transmission network; financial terms were not disclosed.

Eletrobras (NYSE:EBR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/EBR]), Latin Americal's largest power producer, said it will implement the C3 AI Grid Intelligence tool, which focuses on monitoring and resolving failures in real time, in all of its transmission assets.

After a successful initial deployment of the C3 AI Grid Intelligence application across 10 substations in 2024, Eletrobras (EBR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/EBR]) said it is now scaling the solution across all its transmission assets as part of the Eletro.ia program, and is using C3 Generative AI to streamline operational reporting, freeing operators to focus on higher-impact tasks.

"C3 AI’s ability to support a real-time operations center with an operations-ready platform and end-user focused solutions was core to our decision to partner with C3 AI," Eletrobras (EBR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/EBR]) Executive Manager of Protection, Automation, and Control of Operation Systems Pablo Flores said.
