Fitch Leaves Intel Rating Unchanged After U.S. Takes Government Stake

Intel's decision to grant the U.S. government a slice of the company doesn't change its creditworthiness, according to Fitch Ratings, one of the big three credit rating firms. Fitch said it's keeping the BBB rating on Intel unchanged after its "unprecedented transaction" with the government. It means Fitch sees Intel's ability to meet its financial obligations, such as pay interest on bonds and more, unaffected by its decision to grant the government a stake of about 10%.
