Trinseo (NYSE:TSE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSE]) -5.7% pre-market Monday after saying it is indefinitely suspending its quarterly dividend [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20255256-trinseo-announces-strategic-operational-plans-in-europe-and-dividend-suspension], which is expected to save ~$1.5 million annually, and permanently closing its methyl methacrylate production operations in Rho, Italy, and its acetone cyanohydrin production operations in Porto Marghera, Italy.
Trinseo (NYSE:TSE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSE]) said it expects the closures will be completed by the end of the year and result in $20 million in annualized profitability improvement and $10 million in annual reduction of capital expenditures.
The company also said it may close its polystyrene production facility in Schkopau, Germany, and consolidate remaining polystyrene production into its Tessenderlo, Belgium, location; if completed, the move would result in $10 million in annualized profitability improvement, the company said.
Trinseo (TSE [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSE]) said its actions are aimed at further optimizing its operations, enhancing cash flow generation and strengthening long-term profitability.
