Health insurance company UnitedHealth (NYSE:UNH) will be reporting results this Tuesday before market hours. Here’s what you need to know.

UnitedHealth met analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $111.6 billion, up 12.9% year on year. It was a softer quarter for the company, with a significant miss of analysts’ full-year EPS guidance estimates and a significant miss of analysts’ EPS estimates. It lost -40,000 customers and ended up with a total of 54.08 million.

This quarter, analysts are expecting UnitedHealth’s revenue to grow 12.4% year on year to $113.3 billion, improving from the 9.2% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $2.81 per share.UnitedHealth Total Revenue

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. UnitedHealth has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates four times over the last two years.

Looking at UnitedHealth’s peers in the healthcare providers & services segment, some have already reported their Q3 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Elevance Health delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 11%, meeting analysts’ expectations, and Molina Healthcare reported revenues up 11%, topping estimates by 4.7%. Elevance Health traded down 2.5% following the results while Molina Healthcare was also down 17.3%.
