S&W, a UK-based professional services group, has appointed Andrew Hornby as a partner in its audit division.

Hornby will focus on the life sciences and technology sectors, the company said in its press release.

Hornby, who has more than two decades of experience in auditing life science and technology firms, previously held the position of an audit partner at Deloitte.

As an audit partner at S&W’s Beaconsfield office, Hornby will be responsible for strengthening the company’s presence in the Reading and Thames Valley markets.

S&W Audit and Assurance head Mark Bishop said: “We're delighted to have someone of Andrew's calibre join our Thames Valley team. He brings a wealth of experience and connections that will be pivotal in supporting our growth ambitions within the region.

“Andrew's decision to join us, along with those of the record number of new partners we've recruited this year, reflects the strength of our ambition, and the path we're on. We're excited to have him as part of that journey.”

In his professional career, Hornby has managed audits for a variety of clients in the Thames Valley region, including both UK and US listed entities.

His clientele included large private companies, multinational corporations, and businesses backed by private equity.

Hornby said: “I’m delighted to join S&W at such an exciting time for the firm. I’ve been struck by the dynamism of the firm’s leadership as well as the clear sense of vision and momentum.

“The opportunity to grow and expand the thriving audit sector is huge, and I am thrilled to be a member of the team tasked with delivering on this potential.”

Earlier in August 2025, S&W agreed to acquire Beechwood Partners, a Dublin-based firm that offers accountancy and tax advisory services.

As per the terms of the deal, 35 employees and partners from Beechwood Partners integrate into S&W’s operations in Ireland, which currently has a workforce of more than 80 at its Sandyford location.
