_Seeking Alpha's roundup of statements, announcements, and remarks that could impact the technology sector. _

* Oracle (NYSE:ORCL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ORCL]) co-CEO Clay Magouyrk said Monday he's confident OpenAI (OPENAI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/OPENAI]) can pay around $60 billion a year for Oracle cloud infrastructure services.

“Just look at the rate at which they’ve grown to, you know, almost a billion users. That’s just unheard of,” said Magouyrk during an interview with co-CEO Mike Sicilia [https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/13/oracle-ceo-magouyrk-of-course-openai-can-pay-60-billion-per-year.html] for CNBC.

OpenAI (OPENAI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/OPENAI]) signed a $300 billion five-year cloud services deal with Oracle (NYSE:ORCL [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/ORCL]) in July.

* Chipmaker Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AVGO]) and OpenAI (OPENAI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/OPENAI]) said they have entered into a collaboration for 10 gigawatts of custom AI accelerators.

Under the deal, OpenAI will design the accelerators and systems, which will then be developed and deployed with Broadcom.

“Our collaboration with Broadcom will power breakthroughs in AI and bring the technology’s full potential closer to reality,” said OpenAI co-founder and President Greg Brockman, in a statement [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20263273-openai-and-broadcom-announce-strategic-collaboration-to-deploy-10-gigawatts-of-openai]. “By building our own chip, we can embed what we’ve learned from creating frontier models and products directly into the hardware, unlocking new levels of capability and intelligence.”

Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AVGO]) added that the "collaboration reinforces the importance of custom accelerators and the choice of Ethernet as the technology for scale-up and scale-out networking in AI data centers."

Last month, fellow chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]) announced it was investing $100 billion in OpenAI, which counts Microsoft (MSFT [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MSFT]) as a major investor. In early October, OpenAI also announced a partnership deal with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AMD]) that would give OpenAI an opportunity to take an equity stake of up to 10% in AMD.

* Meanwhile, Broadcom (AVGO [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AVGO]) senior executive Charlie Kawwas said that OpenAI (OPENAI [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/OPENAI]) was not the unnamed $10 billion customer mentioned on Broadcom's quarterly conference call last month.

“I would love to take a $10 billion [purchase order] from my good friend Greg,” Kawwas said during an interview with CNBC [https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/13/broadcom-mystery-customer-openai.html], referring to OpenAI President Greg Brockman. “He has not given me that PO yet.”
