Oracle has become a part of The Smart Factory by Deloitte @ Wichita's ecosystem, aiming to support the manufacturing sector with the integration of AI and automation into their operations.
This initiative is expected to enhance data management and analytics for industrial organisations.
The partnership will see Oracle introduce its Smart Operations tools, drawn from its Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) suite to clients at The Factory.
These tools are designed to improve manufacturing execution by using cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and AI to connect operational technology (OT) with information technology systems.
Oracle Supply Chain Planning and Execution Product Strategy vice-president Vikash Goyal said: "Together with Deloitte, we are enabling manufacturers with Oracle Cloud SCM solutions to enhance efficiency, increase production and strategically plan for the future."
Oracle's involvement is intended to create a link between various business functions—including finance, sales, human resources, and marketing and manufacturing processes.
The goal is to create a feedback loop that can lead to increased productivity, improved product quality, and higher factory output.
The Smart Factory by Deloitte @ Wichita serves as a hub for organisations looking to employ manufacturing techniques and new technologies.
Additionally, the centre acts as a collaborative platform, bringing together a network of solution providers, academic experts, technology pioneers, and forward-thinkers.
Deloitte principal and Smart Manufacturing business leader Tim Gaus said: "Our ecosystem at The Smart Factory by Deloitte @ Wichita continues to expand as we evolve to help our clients break down barriers to innovation and become AI-enabled.
"By bringing together Deloitte's technology, industry and sector experience with Oracle's AI solutions, we're continuing to help manufacturers accelerate the adoption of AI and automation so they can address today's most pressing operational challenges and unlock new opportunities for growth."
Meanwhile, Deloitte is reportedly reviewing its UK workforce considering a reported downturn in consulting service demand, according to Bloomberg.
