Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]) CEO Jensen Huang said on Saturday that he has asked for additional chip supplies from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSM]) as the demand for artificial intelligence remains strong.

Attending TSMC’s (TSM [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSM]) annual sports day event in Taiwan, Huang described Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]) and TSMC as members of one family who would grow together. “NVIDIA is TSMC's forever partner,” he added, according to the Taiwanese publication, the Liberty Times.

“The business is very strong, and it’s growing month by month, stronger and stronger,” Huang told reporters in Hsinchu, Taiwan, where the event took place.

SK Hynix (OTCPK:HXSC.F [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/HXSC.F]), Samsung Electronics (OTCPK:SSNLF [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/SSNLF]), and Micron Technology (MU [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/MU]), the trio of companies supplying AI memory chips to Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]), have all added [https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-11-08/nvidia-ceo-asks-tsmc-for-more-wafers-to-meet-strong-ai-demand?srnd=homepage-asia] “tremendous capacity” to support his firm, Huang added.

TSMC’s (TSM [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/TSM]) CEO C.C. Wei, who appeared alongside Huang at the event, told employees on Saturday that he expects his company’s record sales momentum to continue every year. He added that Huang sought more wafers when the duo met this time, as the U.S. CEO made his fourth visit to Taiwan in 2025.

Huang’s comment came at a time when Nvidia (NVDA [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NVDA]) shares fell ~7% this week amid bearish bets from Michael Burry’s Scion Asset Management. [https://seekingalpha.com/news/4514017-michael-burrys-big-short-instincts-target-ai-trade-with-puts-on-nvidia-palantir]
