At least one competitor is offering to help customers and employees of Pinstripes Holdings Inc., which earlier this month filed for bankruptcy protection and closed units.
Lev Ekster, president of Richmond, Va.-based Lucky Strike Entertainment Corp., said his company is “offering courtesy discounts exclusively for displaced Pinstripes clients so their events can still go on at one of Lucky Strike’s 350 locations nationwide. In addition, the company is inviting affected former Pinstripes employees to apply for open roles on its career site.”
Pinstripes Holdings Inc., an eatertainment concept, on Sept. 8 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed locations less than two years after going public.
The Northbrook, Ill.-based Pinstripes, which features bowling, bocce, and bistro menu offerings, began trading publicly through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) deal with Banyan Acquisition Corp. in early January 2024.
Lucky Strike, which rebranded from Bowlero Corp. in December, provides experiential offerings in bowling, amusements, water parks, and family entertainment centers. The company also owns the Professional Bowlers Association.
Ekster said, “At Lucky Strike Entertainment, our focus is always on serving our guests and team members to the best of our ability. While we pay attention to industry shifts, we don’t plan around a competitor’s footprint specifically. Instead, we continue to grow thoughtfully, invest in our venues, and make sure our experiences remain top-notch so that when guests are looking for a new option, we’re ready to welcome them.”
As a courtesy, Lucky Strike is offering discounts to former Pinstripes customers, Ekster said.
