KKR acquires Hoken Minaoshi Hompo Group

KKR (NYSE:KKR [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/KKR]) has announced that it has acquired [https://seekingalpha.com/pr/20232934-kkr-acquires-japanese-insurance-distributor-hoken-minaoshi-hompo-group] the Hoken Minaoshi Hompo Group, a prominent Japanese insurance distributor, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition was made from investment funds serviced by Advantage Partners.

The development will help Hoken Minaoshi Hompo Group's growth by implementing both organic and inorganic strategies, such as strengthening sales and pursuing targeted acquisitions.

The Hoken Minaoshi Hompo Group is a key player in Japan's insurance market, with a broad omnichannel presence. Its flagship brand, Hoken Minaoshi Hompo, offers services through approximately 350 retail locations across Japan, as well as via call centers, online platforms, home visits, and telephone consultations.

KKR is making this investment predominantly from its Asian Fund IV and K-Series.
